This week was very rewarding.

All of our appointments, with the people that we had contacted failed. But the Lord truly guides us to his children that are ready to accept his gospel. We were looking for a family in the mountains and contacted two other people that were digging a hole behind there house. They said yes come down and give us a pamphlet. We went to their house and asked to come in and teach. They said yes, after the lesson we invited them to be baptized they said they would pray to know if it was true. We went back Saturday and they had prayed and felt good. Then I asked, “now what do you need to be saved”? They answered “be baptized ourselves”. They live very far from the chapel and came on there own. Maria is going to get married Tuesday and her and her daughter will be baptized next week. Her husband is already a member.

We had a very spiritual lesson with the family that does not want to get married. I was with a member, we divide to make more visits, I felt the Spirit put the words in my mouth and the family was attentive. The member also gave a very spiritual part about prayer, using King Lemoni as an example. Members are very important and the investigators listen to them because they live with then and they are the same people with the same problems. We left them thinking and I left the letter you guys sent, thanks.

We also taught a large family this year. It was funny, during the lesson one of their Catholic neighbors came in and said “the idol is going to past did you buy the beer”? Then turned looked at me and said “oh” and left. This time of year they carry giant idols through the streets here. This week they were worshiping a black dude San Martin de Porres that brought peace to the country.

We also found a guy that told me he was Catholic and I kept talking to him and he was like, “I’ll tell you the truth I'm Mormon, I just wanted to see how far I could take you”. He invited us in side he was smoking a grit, we had a good visit.

If anymore info about me coming home, comes from the mission, just keep it to you’re self. I’m not ready to thank about it.

Thank you so much for your inspiring emails. You guys are so creative I got your package thanks for surprising me I forgot all about chewy sweet tarts. I did need new socks I left the shirt in my luggage in Lima because we can't take a lot of wait to the jungle but I will use it later. My trip to Lima was good. I love listening to the president talk he is truly a man inspired and called of God and I love him.

My flight was good they messed up my flight so I got to fly alone it was nice. I taught a good family while I was waiting for my flight and another man on the plane. It was cool to get to the airport in Lima alone there was like a hundred people waiting with signs in the airport when I came off the plane that was weird. But when I walked out I met a familia that lived next to us in the jungle. The wife is Peruvian and the dad is American. We gave her a blessing the other day so it was cool to see them again; they were on there way to Texas. While I was waiting with a member that just happened to walk up to me, I went to take a taxi and I found some other elders from the offices there, sending off those that were going home. So I got to wait and see the elders that were going home and some members from my old areas that came to see the elders off we took pictures and it was a cool experience.

Two of the elders going to Bolivia missed there flight. But the next day I got go with elder Rich, my good friend, to the airport again the next day to see them off, and we enjoyed a nice 4 slice pizza from papa johns dinner. The guy that works there is member so he gave us a deal it was another nice experience.

I found myself with my old comp from Tarapoto. He told me that the families that I had left with a baptism date had gotten married and baptized and that the ward was doing well. But what brought a joy unexplainable and tears to my eyes is when he told me that the family we baptized is strong in the church and the dad, Tulio, has the Melchizedek Priesthood and is going to be called as elders quorum president and his wife has a calling in the nursery. This is the true church of God there is no other church or organization that can perform such great miracles and bring happiness so pure to my soul.
